A line of comic books was also launched alongside the series.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The story is about heroes from the 29th century who were created with metal bodies and wings to fight organized crime in the Limbo galaxy. The heroes recruited by the <strong>Stargazer<\/strong> and led by the protagonist <strong>Quicksilver<\/strong> are a species of humanoid cyborgs with bird-like (hawk-like) wings that can fly through space. They fight against <strong>Mon*Star<\/strong> the self-styled &#8220;master of the planets&#8221; and his henchmen.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The series ended up being canceled and we never got to see how <strong>Mon*star<\/strong> was defeated. It is also said that the production company&#8217;s idea was to end up uniting the <strong>Silverhawks<\/strong> with other franchises it owns, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/toyzinger.com\/en\/thundercats\/\">Thundercats<\/a> and <strong>Tiger Sharks<\/strong>, but in the end we could not enjoy this unification of universes.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Just like most of the animated series of the 80&#8217;s a toy line was launched to the market, in this case, the toy company in charge of the collection of figures was KENNER, the same creators of one of the most successful lines of figures in history: <a href=\"https:\/\/toyzinger.com\/en\/star-wars\/\">STAR WARS<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Years later, other toy companies have also launched lines of collectible figures from this franchise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Silverhawks Figure Collections: About the franchise: Silverhawks known in the Spanish-speaking world as Los Halcones Gal\u00e1cticos, is an animated series from the 80&#8217;s by the same creators of Thundercats.
