Poseidon is the god of the oceans and one of the Twelve Olympian Gods. He was sealed away by Athena in the mythological age during the First Crusade. After several centuries, his seal on the Trident was removed by Kanon while he was imprisoned at Cape Sounion. After awakening imperfectly, he possesses the child Julian. Thirteen years later, he begins a crusade against Athena under Kanon's manipulation.
The figure of Poseidon is the only one of a god in the vintage Saint Seiya collection, as neither Athena nor Hades have figures in this collection. This piece was marketed in both Japan and France, and was also distributed in Spain with the box in French.
