Daredevil, whose real name is Matt Murdock, is a Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, with contributions from Jack Kirby. He made his first appearance in “Daredevil” #1 in 1964.
Matt Murdock grew up in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and lost his sight in an accident as a child when he was struck by a radioactive chemical while saving a man from being run over. This accident not only blinded him, but also heightened his other senses to superhuman levels, and gave him a “sensory radar” that allows him to perceive his surroundings in a unique way.
