This figure is part of the first wave of the Transformers G1 collection, released by Hasbro in 1984.

It is part of the Mini-vehicles sub-line, a series of small-scale cars with simple transformations.

This figure was sold in various countries, so it comes in different packaging, depending on the country or even the year of release.

The first versions of the figure from 1984 (Series 1) featured the figure in its car form on the box; those produced in 1985 and later featured the figure in its robot form inside the box.
