Character

Man-Spider is a monstrous and terrifying form of Spider-Man that appears when Peter Parker undergoes an advanced and uncontrolled mutation of his arachnid powers. This change occurs in several versions of the story, but is best known for its appearance in the 1990s animated series, Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

In this version, Peter Parker begins to experience additional mutations after gaining his original powers. His condition worsens to the point where his body completely transforms into a hybrid creature, with eight spider legs, jaws, and an appearance similar to that of a giant spider. In this form, known as Man-Spider, Peter loses his humanity and becomes a more instinctive and violent being, attacking anyone he perceives as a threat.

Man-Spider is a manifestation of Peter's fears about losing control of his identity and humanity due to his powers. The transformation is reversed with the help of other characters, such as Dr. Curt Connors (The Lizard) or the intervention of mutants such as the X-Men, who work together to restore Peter to his human form.
