Curiosities about the toy and variants

The Flash figure is part of the first wave of figures in the Super Powers collection produced by toy manufacturer KENNER between 1984 and 1986.

As it was one of the first wave of figures, it was reissued in subsequent years, although the first edition with the "12-back" cardboard box is the most sought after by collectors. This box contains an image of the first twelve figures in the collection on the back.

Like the other figures in the Super Powers line, the Flash figure comes with an "action feature." When you squeeze the figure's arms, its legs move as if it were running.

Character

Flash is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared in Flash Comics #1 in 1939.

All incarnations of Flash possess "super-speed," which includes the ability to run, move, and think extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate certain laws of physics.
