This figure is part of the first wave of the “Spider-Man Animated Series” collection, created by TOYBIZ toy company. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 90’s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we will be able to find the “carded” figures with cardboards in different languages.
Alistair Smythe is a villain in the Marvel Universe, known for being one of Spider-Man‘s most persistent enemies. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., he made his first appearance in “The Amazing Spider-Man Annual” #19 in 1985.
Alistair is the son of Spencer Smythe, a scientist obsessed with destroying Spider-Man, who created the lethal robots called Spider-Slayers. After his father’s death, Alistair inherits his hatred for Spider-Man and decides to continue his legacy, improving the Spider-Slayers and developing more advanced versions to hunt down the arachnid hero.
