Character:
Kingpin, whose real name is Wilson Fisk, is one of the most powerful and formidable villains in the Marvel universe. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., he made his first appearance in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #50 in 1967.
Although initially introduced as an enemy of Spider-Man, Kingpin is also one of Daredevil’s main antagonists. Wilson Fisk is a criminal tycoon who controls much of organized crime in New York, operating under the guise of a respected businessman.
Fisk is known for his imposing stature, brute strength and razor-sharp strategic mind. Although he possesses no superpowers, his influence, resources and utter lack of scruples make him as great a threat as any supervillain with superhuman abilities.
Throughout his history in the comics, Kingpin has been the mastermind behind many of the difficulties faced by both Spider-Man and Daredevil, manipulating other villains and using his vast criminal empire to consolidate his power.
