This figure is part of the third wave of the “Spider-Man Animated Series” collection, created by toymaker TOYBIZ. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 90’s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we will be able to find the “carded” figures with cardboards in different languages.
Rhino, whose real name is Aleksei Sytsevich, is a Russian supervillain in the Marvel universe and one of Spider-Man‘s most physically powerful enemies. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., he made his first appearance in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #41 in 1966.
Aleksei Sytsevich was a common criminal until he underwent an experiment that permanently attached him to an impenetrable, rhinoceros-like battle suit. This suit gives him superhuman strength, speed and endurance, as well as a large horn on his head that he uses as a ramming weapon.
