Curiosities about the toy and variants

This figure is part of the first wave of the "Batman - The Animated Series" collection, produced by toy manufacturer KENNER during the 1990s.

This collection of figures is based on the characters from the animated series of the same name. It was distributed in several countries, and some figures were reissued, so it is not uncommon to find some differences in the packaging.

The most sought-after figures from this first wave are known as "6-back" (first edition), which have images of the first six figures on the back of the box.

Character

The Penguin, also known as Oswald Cobblepot, is a recurring villain in Batman: The Animated Series. He is a cunning and sophisticated criminal who combines the style of a gentleman with the mind of a ruthless criminal.

Characterized by his distinctive appearance—short, stocky, with a prominent nose, and always dressed in an elegant tuxedo and top hat—the Penguin presents himself as a high-society gangster, using his nightclub, the Iceberg Lounge, as a front for his illegal activities.

Unlike other Gotham villains, the Penguin is not a lunatic or a psychopath, but a calculating criminal who sees himself as part of the city's social elite. His plans often involve using his intelligence and connections in the criminal world to enrich himself or consolidate his power.
