Marshal Bravestarr is the protagonist of the animated series BraveStarr, a futuristic western and science fiction production from the 1980s. Bravestarr is an intergalactic sheriff on the distant planet New Texas, where he fights to maintain order and justice.
He has the ability to summon the “powers of animals,” such as the strength of a bear, the sight of a hawk, the speed of a mountain lion and the hearing of a wolf. In addition to being brave and righteous, he is accompanied by his faithful companion, a cybernetic horse named Thirty/Thirty.
The character stands out for combining indigenous mysticism with futuristic elements in his fight against crime and oppression in a far western galactic setting.
