This figure is part of the collection“Bravestarr” produced by MATTEL in 1986, these figures are based on the characters of the animated series with the same name.
Bravestarr figures were noticeably larger than many other toy lines of the time, such as He-Man or G.I. Joe action figures, which made them stand out for their size. In addition, BraveStarr figures included multiple points of articulation and various accessories that complemented their futuristic, Old West-style features.
The collection was sold in different countries, so we can find boxes in different languages.
Sand Storm is a recurring villain in the BraveStarr series. He is a gigantic creature made practically of sand, with the power to control sandstorms and manipulate the New Texas desert terrain to his will.
This villain becomes a great threat to Bravestarr and the colonists of the planet due to his ability to create chaos and destruction in an environment where sand is abundant.
Sand Storm, while not one of the most intelligent of the villain characters, is extremely dangerous due to his size, strength and his ability to disappear and reappear in the desert environment. He often acts as a mercenary or ally of Tex Hex, using his abilities to wreak havoc and destabilize the planet’s defenses.
