Curiosities and variants of the figure

This figure is part of the first wave of the “Batman – The Animated Series” collection, produced by toymaker KENNER during the 1990s.

This collection of figures is based on the characters of the animated series with the same name. It was distributed in several countries, and some figures were reedited, so it is not uncommon to find them with some differences in the cardboard.

The most desired figures of this first wave are known as “6-back” (first edition), which have the images of the first 6 figures on the back of the cardboard.

Character

The Penguin, also known as Oswald Cobblepot, is a recurring villain in “Batman: The Animated Series”. He is a cunning and sophisticated criminal who blends the style of a gentleman with the mind of a ruthless criminal.

Characterized by his distinctive appearance-short, stocky, with a prominent nose, and always dressed in a smart tuxedo and top hat-Penguin presents himself as a high-society gangster, using his nightclub, the Iceberg Lounge, as a front for his illegal activities.

Unlike other Gotham villains, the Penguin is not a lunatic or a psychopath, but a calculating criminal who sees himself as part of the city’s social elite. Often, his plans involve using his intelligence and connections in the criminal world to enrich himself or consolidate his power.
