The Darkseid figure is part of the second wave of figures in the Super Powers collection produced by toy manufacturer KENNER between 1984 and 1986.
This figure was distributed in several countries, so there are some differences in the blister packs; some editions included a comic book.
Like the other figures in the collection, the Darkseid figure had an "Action Feature" whereby when you squeeze his legs, his arms rise up.
Darkseid is a supervillain who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created as the main antagonist of the "Fourth World" metaseries, and was first seen briefly in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 in December 1970.
