Pterodactyl (Mail-Away), from "Dino-riders - Dino Riders (Dinosaurs)" collection, includes the following accessories:
When Tyco launched the Dino-Riders line of action figures, fans had the option to become members of the official fan club.
To get this mail-away package, they simply had to cut out three purchase coupons from the toy boxes and mail them in along with $3.50.
After submitting the request, collectors received a brown Tyco package at home containing all the club materials. The contents included a Pterodactyl figure in an exclusive color, the membership card, an official patch, and two mini-comics (the same ones from Series 1 and Series 2).
It also included an informational newsletter of about eight pages, packed with news and facts about different dinosaurs, their characteristics, and the adaptations they developed to survive. Currently, two different issues of this newsletter are known to exist.
Today, both this exclusive Pterodactyl and every other item in this membership package have become a true “Holy Grail” for Dino-Riders collectors.
