Hadlar is one of the main antagonists in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and the former Dark Lord, who attempted to conquer the world before being defeated by Avan.
However, thanks to the Dark King Vearn, Hadlar came back to life and was appointed supreme Dark Commander of his new army.
