Gargoyles was an animated series of Disney streamed from 1994 to 1997.
In the series, a clan of warrior gargoyles are turned to stone by a spell that is broken a thousand years later when their castle is moved from Scotland to New York. Directed by their leader Goliath, defend the streets of the city and fight the crime and the evil Xanatos overnight. Although many humans fear them, some will help them in their mission.
Some episodes were related to medieval stories from ancient Scottish history and mythology.
Following the success of the series, several toy companies produced different lines of action figures.
