American toymaker Kenner, known for creating Star Wars, produced a collection of Gargoyles series action figures between the years 1995 and 1996. Each wave has 15 character figures that are complemented by a castle and three vehicles.
The first wave released in 1995 had 15 figures, including 5 different Goliaths, the rest of the gargoyles are in their normal form, as we can see them in the series, also some villains were released:
In 1996 everything became a little crazier, this second wave has many gargoyle figures with colors and textures never seen in the animated series and electronic mechanisms, something very typical of the 90’s, in my opinion it was a total success and no doubt the children of the time enjoyed them. Today the figures of this second wave are much more valued by collectors than those of the first wave.
The gargoyles did not come alone, along with the collection of figures some vehicles and even a playset of the castle were released. Currently, Xanatos’ car and the Castle are the most expensive pieces in the collection.
