The Strato-Viper (v1) G.I. Joe action figure was introduced in 1986 as part of the fifth series. This vintage Cobra figure was initially distributed exclusively alongside the Cobra Night Raven vehicle.
Later, the Strato-Viper was available through Hasbro Direct mail-order. In 1989, it featured in the "Special Missions Drivers" set, accompanied by Ace, Thunder, Lampreys, Keel-Haul, and Motor-Viper.
This Strato-Viper action figure was again offered via Hasbro Direct as part of the "Cobra Patrol Unit," which included Motor-Viper and a FANG helicopter.
