The Hit & Run (v1) action figure debuted as part of the 1988 seventh series, available carded. This vintage figure continued its domestic release through 1989 and was discontinued in 1990. In 1988, a special Target exclusive version of Hit & Run was offered, featuring unique packaging and an operational parachute.
The Target exclusive Hit & Run included a green parachute backpack and a functional camouflage parachute, a set previously utilized with the 1985 mail-in exclusive Parachute Pack. This particular variation also featured an orange-colored filecard, distinguishing it from the standard gray.
For the United Kingdom and European markets, the Hit & Run action figure was released with a distinct Tiger Force repaint, identified as Tiger Force Hit & Run.
In Brazil and Argentina, the figure received minor paint alterations and was distributed under the name Alpinista, Code Name: Hit & Run.
