Curiosities about the toy and variants
This figure is part of the fourth wave of the "Spider-Man Animated Series" collection created by toy manufacturer TOYBIZ. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 1990s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we can find "carded" figures with cards in different languages.
This figure stands out from the rest because it has many more joints than the other Spider-Man figures in the collection. It is easily distinguishable by its joints in the wrists, ankles, and torso.
This figure comes with several interchangeable heads that can be used to dress up Chameleon.
Character
Chameleon, whose real name is Dmitri Smerdyakov, is one of Spider-Man's earliest and most cunning enemies, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He made his debut in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #1 in 1963, becoming the first supervillain Spider-Man faced in the comics.
Chameleon is a master of disguise and deception, able to take on the appearance of anyone thanks to his advanced technology and natural mimicry skills.
Throughout his criminal career, Chameleon has used his abilities to infiltrate organizations, commit crimes, and manipulate his enemies, always staying one step ahead thanks to his ability to change identities in an instant.
Although he does not possess superpowers in the traditional sense, his intelligence, cunning, and transformation abilities make him an extremely dangerous adversary, capable of sowing mistrust and chaos.
