This figure is part of the "Spider Wars" sub-line within the "Spider-Man Animated Series" collection created by toy manufacturer TOYBIZ. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 1990s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we can find "carded" figures with packaging in different languages.
This figure is unique in that it is the first Dr. Strange figure ever created.
Doctor Strange, whose real name is Stephen Strange, is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, protector of Earth against mystical and supernatural threats. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, he made his first appearance in "Strange Tales" #110 in 1963.
Stephen Strange was a talented but arrogant neurosurgeon who, after a car accident damaged his hands, desperately searched the world for a cure. His search led him to meet the Ancient One, a master of the mystic arts, in the Himalayas.
Initially skeptical, Strange eventually embraces magic and begins his training, becoming the Elder's most powerful disciple. As Dr. Strange, he uses magical artifacts such as the Eye of Agamotto and the Cloak of Levitation, and wields powerful spells to combat dark forces, demons, and interdimensional entities.
