Character
Hydro-Man, whose real name is Morris "Morrie" Bench, is a villain from the Marvel universe known primarily for his confrontation with Spider-Man. Created by Dennis O'Neil and John Romita Jr., Hydro-Man made his first appearance in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #212 in 1981.
Morrie Bench was a sailor who, after an accident at sea where he fell into the water while an experiment was being conducted, was exposed to experimental energy that transformed him into a being composed entirely of water.
As Hydro-Man, Morrie has the ability to transform his body into water, change shape, and control and manipulate large volumes of water at will. These abilities make him a formidable adversary for Spider-Man, as he is able to slip through any space, absorb physical impacts, and become an almost indestructible threat.
Despite his power, Hydro-Man is often portrayed as a low-intelligence thug, leading him to be used by more intelligent villains and often falling into Spider-Man's traps.
