Octo-Spidey is the version of Spider-Man that emerges when Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius) takes control of Peter Parker's body.
In this story, Doctor Octopus, on the verge of death, manages to transfer his consciousness into Peter Parker's body, while Peter's mind is trapped in Octavius' dying body.
With Spider-Man's body under his control, Octavius decides to continue Peter's mission to fight crime, but in his own way. Adopting the name Superior Spider-Man, Otto attempts to prove that he can be a better and more efficient Spider-Man than Peter, using more aggressive methods and making more calculated and often morally ambiguous decisions.
During his time as Spider-Man, Otto improves the suit's technology, uses a more scientific and brutal approach to confronting criminals, and leaves a significant mark on Spider-Man's legacy.
