This figure is part of the fifth wave of the “Spider-Man Animated Series” collection, created by toymaker TOYBIZ. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 90’s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we will be able to find the “carded” figures with cardboards in different languages.
The colors of this figure are the same as how Spider-Man‘s spider sense activation is depicted in the animated series.
Spider-Man, whose real name is Peter Parker, is one of Marvel Comics’ most popular and iconic superheroes, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He first appeared in “Amazing Fantasy” #15 in 1962.
Peter Parker, an orphaned teenager raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, gains superhuman abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. These abilities include enhanced strength and agility, the ability to climb walls and a “spider sense” that warns him of danger.
Adopting the identity of Spider-Man, Peter decides to use his powers to fight crime after the tragic death of his Uncle Ben, motivated by the lesson that “with great power comes great responsibility”.
