This figure is part of the fourth wave of the “Spider-Man Animated Series” collection, created by toymaker TOYBIZ. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 90’s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we will be able to find the “carded” figures with cardboards in different languages.
This is the second Venom figure in the collection.
Venom is one of the most iconic and complex characters in the Marvel universe, originally introduced as a villain and later evolving into an anti-hero. Venom is the result of the union between an alien symbiote and journalist Eddie Brock.
The symbiote, which had previously been linked to Spider-Man as his black suit, amplifies its host’s abilities, granting him superhuman strength, agility, the ability to generate organic webbing and the ability to shape-shift.
The relationship between Eddie Brock and the symbiote is driven by a shared hatred of Spider-Man, making them one of the arachnid hero’s most dangerous foes. Over time, however, Venom becomes a more nuanced character, often struggling with his own morality and acting as a lethal protector of the innocent.
