This figure is part of the second wave of the “Spider-Man Animated Series” collection, created by TOYBIZ toy company. This collection recreated the characters from the popular 90’s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
The figures were distributed and sold in several countries, so we will be able to find the “carded” figures with cardboards in different languages.
Vulture, whose real name is Adrian Toomes, is one of Spider-Man’s first and most enduring foes, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He first appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #2 in 1963.
Toomes is an electrical engineer and inventor who, after being betrayed by his business partner, builds a specialized suit that gives him the ability to fly and superhuman strength. Enraged by the betrayal and the loss of his company, Toomes adopts the identity of the Vulture and becomes a criminal determined to exact revenge on those who have wronged him.
As Vulture, Toomes stands out for his cunning, experience and the danger of his winged suit, which allows him to move with great agility and speed. Despite his advanced age, his bitterness and resentment make him a formidable adversary for Spider-Man.
