This Savage He-Man & Orko figure was released as a Deluxe version of the Masterverse collection. Deluxe figures include more accessories or larger characters and were sold at a slightly higher price than standard figures. On this occasion, this pack was sold, which included both pieces.
Savage He-Man can have different origins depending on the series or comics we take as a reference. In this case, we have the version from the animated series "MOTU Revelation," where his origin is when Prince Adam loses the Sword of Power and tries to obtain "The Power of Grayskull" without channeling it through the sword. He then receives all the power, but loses control, turning himself into a kind of Berserker.
The original comics released with the vintage MOTU collectible figures presented He-Man as a barbarian from a savage tribe. This would be the first time we meet Savage He-Man, who we could say is the original He-Man, before the Filmation series changed his origin to that of Prince Adam.
