Death Squad Commander is part of the first 12 figures of the collection of figures “Star Wars” (vintage) created by the toymaker KENNER, these first figures were reissued several times over the years, the first editions of 1977 on the back of the cardboard has a print of the first 12 figures, today we know them as 12-back and are the most sought after by collectors.

Death Squad Commander are the soldiers of the Death Star, they are elite soldiers of the Imperial Navy chosen by Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin to place them on the first Death Star. Later, they were also stationed on the Death Star II and in the Endor shield generator bunker.
