Death Star Droid figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) of the Star Wars collection, during the following years several reeditions of the figure were made, so we can find it with different cartons.
The first edition of this second wave is known as “20-back”, since the back of the carton showed 20 figures, the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second wave. This edition included a promotion whereby by sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company mailed the figure of Boba Fett.
Death Star Droid is a droid model. He appears in “A New Hope” aboard the Death Star. Its unique design, with a black and silver body, distinguishes it in the saga. Although his screen time is limited, his appearance in the Death Star environment contributes to the technological and diverse atmosphere of the franchise.
