Curiosities about the toy and variants

The Greedo figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) in the Star Wars collection; over the following years, several reissues of the figure were produced, so it can be found with different packaging.

The first edition of this second wave is known as the "20-back," since the back of the box featured 20 figures: the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second. This edition included a promotion where, upon sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company would mail a Boba Fett figure.

This figure was also included in the Cantina Playset.

Character

Greedo is a Rodian bounty hunter. He appears in "A New Hope" (Episode IV) and is hired by Jabba the Hutt to collect a debt from Han Solo.

Greedo has a confrontation with Han at the Mos Eisley cantina, during which Greedo attempts to extort Solo. However, the encounter ends in a shootout in which Greedo is shot by Han. This encounter has become an iconic moment in the franchise due to the line "Tomorrow it'll be you" and the debate over who fired first.
