Curiosities about the toy and variants

The Hammerhead figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) in the Star Wars collection; over the following years, several reissues of the figure were produced, so it can be found with different packaging.

The first edition of this second wave is known as the "20-back," since the back of the box featured 20 figures: the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second. This edition included a promotion where, upon sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company would mail a Boba Fett figure.

This figure was also included in the Cantina Playset.

Character

Hammerhead, also known as Momaw Nadon, is a two-mouthed alien. He appears in "A New Hope" (Episode IV) at the Mos Eisley cantina. Hammerhead is recognizable by his unique shape and hammer-shaped skull. Although his screen time is brief, his distinctive design and role in the cantina have made him an iconic character in the saga. His species, the Ithorians, are known for their connection to nature and their ability to communicate with plants.
