Luke Skywalker is one of the first 12 figures in the "Star Wars" (vintage) action figure collection created by the toy company KENNER. These early figures were reissued several times over the years; the 1977 first editions feature a print of the first 12 figures on the back of the box, Today, these are known as "12-backs" and are the most sought-after by collectors.
This line of figures was launched in several countries and distributed by different toy companies, so the packaging can be found in various languages and with the logos of different toy companies.
There are several variants of this figure; the two best known are the "Brown Hair" variant, where Luke’s hair is a much darker brown than the original yellow-blonde, and the "Double Telescope" variant, where the lightsaber is twice as long.
Luke Skywalker is the central protagonist of the Star Wars saga. He begins as a young farmer on Tatooine, but his life changes when he meets Princess Leia and becomes involved in the fight against the Empire. Guided by his Jedi mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke discovers his connection to the Force and becomes a Jedi.
