Admiral Ackbar is part of the sixth wave of figures of the vintage Star Wars collection produced by the toymaker KENNER in 1983, this wave was the first with figures of the characters of the movie “Return of the Jedi”.
These figures were reissued on several occasions and marketed in different countries, so it is easy to find differences in the cardbacks, being the first editions (65-back) the most sought after by collectors.
Weequay was part of one of the many promotions made by KENNER, in which they sent a free figure by mail to customers who sent 5 proofs of purchase of other figures.
The Weequay are an alien species in the Star Wars franchise. They appear in “Return of the Jedi” as members of the court of Jabba the Hutt in his palace Tatooine desert.
The Weequay are known for their distinctive appearance, with wrinkled skin and bony ridges on their heads. Though they have little character development in the original trilogy, their presence in the court of Jabba adds diversity and an exotic touch to the alien species surrounding the crime lord.
