The Ninja Action sub-line features turtle figures with a design that is more faithful to the style of the comics. In addition, they include a special function: by means of a spring mechanism, the figures perform a somersault that simulates a dynamic attack.
Originally, Ninja Action figures were marketed in cardboard boxes. Although there are no variants of the figures themselves, the boxes differ depending on the country of distribution.
The Black Belt Boxer Mike figure was the only one of this sub-line that was not reissued under the Ninja Power line, making it the scarcest of the Ninja Action figures. It is commented that its action mechanism, combined with its wind-up nunchucks, made it potentially dangerous for children.
