This figure is part of the Turtle Games sub-line, in which the turtles are dressed in various Olympic-themed outfits.
That same year marked the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and to commemorate the event, Playmates decided to release these figures with each turtle dressed in a different Olympic sport.
One thing that sets this sub-line apart from others is that all the figures included a medal.
There are no known variants of this figure, only slight changes to the blister packaging depending on the distribution location.
