The Supermutant sub-line of the vintage TMNT was released in 1995 and features a design that is completely different from the traditional style of the figure line.
In this collection, both the turtles and the villains feature a futuristic design with a Japanese anime-style aesthetic, resulting in figures that are more stylized, slimmer, and taller than usual.
However, this change in style failed to win over many fans, which has led to the figures from this sub-line having a lower value on the secondary market.
