Akeem is part of the “Series 1” figures of the WWF collection produced by HASBRO toymaker, this collection brought to the action figure format the most relevant wrestlers of the famous wrestling TV show.

Akeem, also known as “The African Dream”, was a professional wrestling character played by American wrestler George Gray. Akeem was part of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as the WWE, during the 1980s and 1990s.
The character of Akeem was presented as a stereotypical African wrestler, with clothing and accessories reflecting this representation.
Although he had initially fought as “One Man Gang” before taking on the role of Akeem, the name and character change came about as part of a plot in which the character adopts a look and fighting style inspired by African culture. Despite criticism for cultural appropriation and stereotyping, Akeem had some impact at the time and became a memorable character in wrestling history.
