This figure is part of the first wave of the “Batman – The Animated Series” collection, produced by toymaker KENNER during the 1990s.
This collection of figures is based on the characters of the animated series with the same name. It was distributed in several countries, and some figures were reedited, so it is not uncommon to find them with some differences in the cardboard.
The most desired figures of this first wave are known as “6-back” (first edition), which have the images of the first 6 figures on the back of the cardboard.
The Riddler, known as Edward Nygma, is one of the most ingenious and obsessive villains in “Batman: The Animated Series”.
Known for his love of riddles, puzzles and word games, Nygma is a criminal mastermind who delights in challenging the intelligence of Batman, whom he considers the only worthy opponent for his brilliant mind.
Always dressed in green, whether in a formal suit or a spandex suit with a question mark, the Riddler uses his skill to create tricky challenges and traps that test Batman’s mental dexterity.
Nygma’s background in the series presents him as a former game designer for a company that betrayed him, leading him to adopt his criminal identity as the Riddler. His obsession with proving his intellectual superiority drives him to leave clues in the form of riddles in each of his crimes, confident that no one but Batman can solve them.
