The Cyclotron action figure is part of the third (and final) wave of the Super Powers collection produced by KENNER in the 1980s.
All the figures in this third wave are much harder to find than those in the previous waves. As this was the last wave, there were no reissues of these figures and fewer units were produced.
The Cyclotron figure, like the rest of the figures in the Super Powers collection, had an "action feature"; in this case, when you squeezed the doll's legs, its torso rotated.
Cyclotron is the name of two different characters who appear in American comic books published by DC Comics. Although a secondary character, he occupies an important place in the history of the Justice Society as a source of power and inspiration for both Atom and Atom Smasher.
Cyclotron was an atomic scientist in the 1930s and 1940s named Terry Curtis. He was kidnapped by a villain who sought to make use of the scientist's expertise with atomic energy. He was subjected to various experiments and exposed to radiation that gave him superhuman abilities.
