The figure of Hawkman is part of the first wave of figurines in the collection of the Super Powers produced by the toy company KENNER between 1984-1986.
Being a figure of the first wave, this was reissued in later years, however, in its first edition with the cardboard “12-back” is the most sought after among collectors, this carton contains the image on the back of the first twelve figures in the collection.
As with the rest of the figures in the line of the Super Powers, the figure of Hawkman comes with a “Action-feature“. In this case, by squeezing the figure’s legs, its wings beat as if it were flying.
Hawkman is a superhero appearing in U.S. comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville, Hawkman first appeared in Flash Comics #1, published in 1940.
Various incarnations of Hawkman have appeared in DC Comics, all of them characterized by the use of archaic weaponry and large artificial wings, attached to a harness made of a special metal that allows them to fly.
