Grand Slam (v1) is a vintage G.I. Joe action figure first introduced in 1982, part of the initial series.
This collectible figure was exclusively packaged with the Heavy Artillery Laser (HAL).
In line with the original sixteen figures from its release year, Grand Slam (v1) features the characteristic "straight arm" sculpt, a defining feature of early G.I. Joe action figures.
Early releases of the Grand Slam action figure featured variations in thumb sculpts, available with either thick or thin thumbs.
A significant re-release in 1983, often designated as version 1.5 within the G.I. Joe collection, incorporated structural modifications. These updates included the replacement of the original straight arms with bicep-swivel articulation and a more streamlined waist-piece.
The figure's date stamp was also revised from "1982" to "82-83." For G.I. Joe archivists.
