The Viper Pilot (v1) action figure was initially released in 1983 as part of the G.I. Joe second series. This particular vintage collectible was exclusively available packaged with the Cobra Viper Attack Glider.
A version of the Viper Pilot was issued in Brazil, paired with the Cobra Asa Delta, the local equivalent of the Viper Glider. Interestingly, this Brazilian action figure shares more design characteristics with the straight-arm Cobra Soldier than with the standard Viper Pilot.
