Curiosities about the toy and variants

Shiryu is the Bronze Saint of the Dragon and disciple of Dokho of Libra. Together with his companions, he protects the goddess Athena from all kinds of dangers throughout the series.

Over the course of the series, the design of the Bronze Knights' armor evolves, resulting in different figures of the same character with some changes in the armor.

In this case, we have the V2 version of the Dragon armor. As the number indicates, the V2 armors are the second version of the armors. They appear after the end of the Sanctuary saga and are worn by the Bronze Knights in the Asgard and Poseidon sagas.

After the success of the V1 armor figures, in 1988 BANDAI re-released the 5 Bronze Knights with V2 armor. These figures also reached France, Spain, and Latin America. So we can find this piece with different boxes, in different languages.

As a curious fact, these V2 figures were the first to arrive in Latin America, but at that point, the series had not yet reached the point where the knights wore them. So it was a little strange to see that the characters did not wear the same armor as in the series, but that did not prevent these toys from being a total success, as children at the time were crazy about having toys from their favorite series.
