In 1995 and coinciding with the arrival of the series in the United States (and renamed to Ronin Warriors) PLAYMATES decided to launch this line of 11 figures, in this case the same designs and molds were used as in the line Super Ballistic TAKARA of 1988, although some minor modifications were made to it.
Mainly, feet and hands were made of plastic (in TAKARA’s version they were metallic), also the molds of the heads were redone, making them a bit bigger and more in scale with the rest of the body.
However, they did not solve the main problem of this line, which is still the belts, which are made of a rubbery plastic and tend to break with use and the passage of time.
The type of packaging was also changed from box to blister, which is much cheaper. Still, in my personal opinion, I prefer it, since you can see the figure inside its packaging.
PLAYMATES together with BANDAI brought this same line to Europe, renaming it to Samurai Warriors, so we can find these pieces in two different blister packs, the American version with the name Ronin Warriors and the European under the name Samurai Warriors.
