Curiosities about the toy and variants

Rox's mutation was caused by eating mutagenic popcorn, which had also been mixed with a mind-control serum. What really set him apart was the way his hair remained after the transformation, giving him a truly unique appearance.

Rox’s figure was part of the second wave of the Street Sharks, and no variants of this figure are known.

This piece was re-released as part of the Mega Heroes series, a wave distributed in 1996 where the packaging was changed from the cardboard box used up until then to the typical blister pack.

In my opinion, this was a mistake on MATTEL’s part, since the cardboard box was what set this toy line apart from others. So, this figure can be found with two different types of packaging, though the figure itself remains the same.
