Bengali is one of the figures released in the collection's latest year; all of these figures are slightly more expensive than the rest, although they aren't as rare as they might seem. There is an Argentine variant of this figure from the toy company PLAYFUL, which features slight color differences, but most importantly, the weapon is very different: instead of the blue hammer, it comes with a silver-colored axe.
Bengali is a skilled blacksmith and one of the three new ThunderCats who joined the original team alongside Pumyra and Lynx-O. Slightly similar in appearance to his cousin Tygra, Bengali has white and blue skin covered in tiger stripes (based on a Bengal white tiger). He, along with his two fellow Thunderians, escaped from Thundera by boarding a spaceship. They then headed for Third Earth, but were captured by the Berserkers working for Mumm-Ra. Eventually, the ThunderCats managed to rescue them, and the three Thunderians were inducted into the ranks of the ThunderCats and received uniforms, weapons, and insignia.
