Power Droid figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) of the Star Wars collection, during the following years several reeditions of the figure were made, so we can find it with different cardbacks.
The first edition of this second wave is known as “20-back”, since the back of the carton showed 20 figures, the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second wave. This edition included a promotion whereby by sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company mailed the figure of Boba Fett.
Power Droid, also known as GNK Droid, is a type of utility droid. Its distinctive design resembles a small tank with legs.
Power Droids are known for their ability to generate power and store fuel, being used in a variety of roles, from maintenance to cargo. Although their role in the plot is primarily functional, their unique appearance and distinctive “gonk” sound make them easily recognizable in the franchise.
