The Snaggletooth figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) in the Star Wars collection; over the following years, several reissues of the figure were produced, so it can be found with different packaging.
The first edition of this second wave is known as the "20-back," since the back of the box featured 20 figures: the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second. This edition included a promotion where, upon sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company would mail a Boba Fett figure.
There is a variant of this figure that is much more sought after by collectors: a version with a blue suit and a taller stature that was included in the cantina playset.
Snaggletooth, also known as Zutton, is a Snivvian alien. His brief appearance in "A New Hope" (Episode IV) during a scene in the Mos Eisley cantina made him instantly recognizable to fans. Although he was only seen for a moment, his unique design and eye-catching costume made him a distinctive character.
