Snaggletooth figure was part of the second wave of figures (1978) of the Star Wars collection, during the following years several reeditions of the figure were made, so we can find it with different cardbacks.
The first edition of this second wave is known as “20-back”, since the back of the carton showed 20 figures, the 12 from the first wave and the 8 from the second wave. This edition included a promotion whereby by sending 4 proofs of purchase to KENNER, the toy company mailed the figure of Boba Fett.
There is a variant of this figure much more sought after by collectors, it is a version with the blue suit and a larger height that was included in the Cantina playset
Snaggletooth, also known as Zutton, is a Snivvian alien. His brief appearance in “A New Hope” (Episode IV) during a scene in Mos Eisley’s cantina made him recognizable to fans. Although he was only seen for a moment, his unique design and eye-catching costume made him a distinctive character.
